The Expendables opening two minutes

The opening few seconds from the clip above are plains flying over, tying in with the cliches that nobody drives a car in a action movie, as well as setting the scene of some kind of war. This is shown again 30 seconds later as there are a flood of chopper style motorbikes being ridden, again tying in with the cliche that nobody drives a car in an action film, and giving a gang related idea to the audience, because stereo typically, it's muscular men that ride motorbikes, to add, motorbikes may also give an idea of a getaway vehicle.
In a later scene you see an ocean at night with a large ship on the horizon, which give an idea to the audience an idea of a warship, which is using the cliche that the film will consist of a small group of army related people trying to complete a mission. In the last scene of the first two minutes, you hear people talking in a foreign language, this is using cliche that the villains are usually foreign and heavily accented, unclear, and untrustworthy.
